But the role I’d really have loved to see Mary Millar in would be Sally Durant Plummer in Follies.
Mary played Sally at the Forum Theatre, Wythenshawe in 1985, Josephine Blake was Phyllis and Meg Johnson played Stella Deems. Paul Kerryson was the choreographer and Howard Lloyd-Lewis directed having acquired the show’s European premiere rights. This production was closer to the original Broadway Follies of 1971 than the 1987 West End Production with its slightly more upbeat book. Mary had a geuninely lovely voice, so I bet her Losing My Mind was wonderful.
